The Yaesu FTM-300D (FTM-300DE in Europe, FTM-300DR in USA / Asia / Australia) provides stable, and reliable, 50 Watt of RF power and is equipped with a heavy-duty heat sink that includes the air-convection conductor tunnel. The transceiver supports full dual-band operation with two independent receivers and thus simultaneous C4FM digital monitoring for both the bands. The FTM300 supports both the WiRES-X Portable Digital Node function and Fixed Node function (with the HRI-200). Since simultaneous C4FM monitoring on both VFOs is possible, users can enjoy both WiRES-X communications on one channel while monitoring a local voice channel at the same time. An 5.1cm (2-inch) color TFT Display clearly highlights the frequency and operation bands, also with the Band Scope users can monitor more channels centered around the current VFO frequency. Memory grouping is one of the advanced features of the FTM-300D, channels are automatically categorized and quickly recalled by four band and groups.

• DG-ID (Digital Group ID) and GM (Group Monitor) features enable locating and communicating with other stations that are within contact range and have the corect matching number.

• 5.1 cm high resolution QVGA full-color display shows the communication status and settings, for each band.

• Bandscope that displays 61 channels.

• Built-in 66 CH high-sensitivity GPS unit permits display of the current location and heading information.

• Built-in Bluethooth supports hands-free communication.

The transceiver enables wireless operation using the optional Yaesu Bluetooth headset SSM-BT10. The headset is equipped with a PTT button and supports VOX (voice activated transmission) function which enables the hands-free operation while operating mobile. The Bluetooth headset SSM-BT10 can be charged by connecting to the DATA jack on the right side of the panel using the optional charging cable SCU-41.

When the power is turned OFF while the Bluetooth headset is connected, the next time the power is turned ON, the same headset is searched for and automatically connected when found.

FTM-300D memory auto grouping function :

The new Memory Auto Grouping (MAG) function allows for Memory channels to be automatically categorized in each band, and memory channels can be easily and quickly recalled by Band groups. If you press the "BAND" key while operating on a memory channel, the bands switch in the order of M-ALL > M-AIR > M-VHF > M-UHF > M-GEN > M-GRP. Only memory channels of that frequency band may be automatically grouped and recalled. With M-ALL, band grouping is turned Off and all memory channels can be called in numerical order.

FTM-300D band scope :

You can visually monitor the signal information in both VFO mode and Memory Channel mode at high speed, in real time. VFO mode, the status (strengths) of the signals in the upper and lower frequency channels (31 / 61 CH) centered on the current receive frequency are displayed in the graph. Memory Mode, the status (strengths) of the signals in the upper and lower memory channels (11 / 21 CH) centered on the current memory channel are displayed in the graph.

FTM-300D GPS and APRS :

A high-sensitivity 66 channel GPS receiver is installed in the FTM-300D's Control Panel to greatly improve the position information acquisition time and accuracy. In C4FM digital mode, the position and direction of the contacted stations are displayed in real time in conjunction with the voice communications. The transceiver also supports a GPS logging function, which can display GPS acquisition information, also the location and the trajectory information of your own station. GPS data may be display with PC software. In addition, the Control Panel has an external connection terminal for attachment of an external GPS device.
