It is equipped with a DSP, Silicon Labs Si4735 chip, for digital demodulation of single side band, both USB and LSB, AM and FM with high sensitivity and good audio quality. The PL365 has several unique features including the use of an external ferrite rod antenna (or also the Tecsun AM loop) for LW/MW reception and it provides FM coverage down to 76 MHz or 87.5 MHz, selectable. It offer a mix of functions not present in the previous PL-360 model, with the same dimensions and walkie talkie look.

This Tecsun is great for portable listening on shortwave, whether AM broadcast or SSB radio-amateur stations. But also perfect for propagation monitoring and locating local interference, the LCD display exhibite in fact signal indicators in dBu (signal strength) unit and dB (signal to noise ratio) unit. For FM reception the Tecsun PL-365 is equipped with ETM, Easy Tuning Mode. This function lets you automatically scan the whole band and store stations in to a temporary memory without replacing existing stored frequencies. ETM is a help feature when you travel and listens to radio stations in different cities. Other features:
