The ICOM ID-31 compact transceiver was first released in 2010. The ID-31 PLUS upgraded transceiver was released seven years later. This new generation PLUS version adds: Faster Data transfer in DV mode. RS-MS1A Android Application. Additional Dplus reflector link commands. DV and FM repeater search functions. Enhanced D-PRS functions. Terminal Mode. Access Point Mode.

ID-31A PLUS description :

The ICOM ID-31A PLUS (ICOM ID-31E PLUS with some own specifications) is a compact and rugged Analog/D-STAR (DV - Digital Voice) portable for UHF operations. Great for beginners, minimal programming is required to operate this radio. This double conversion superheterodyne radio also features an integrated GPS for geo-location repeater search, from one of the 750 repeater memories. Additional enhancements include compatibility with the RS-MS1A, Android App, Terminal and Access Point modes for your own communications portal into the global D-STAR network. Pictures and text messages on un Android device can be transmitted over D-STAR network using the free app.
