Description :

ColibriDDC is a SDR receiver, in small-size box, for the HF frequency band from 10 KHz to 55 MHz working together with a computer or LAN. The circuit configuration is a direct sampling with high-speed ADC, the front-end contain a low pass filter (with disable) but not band pass filters. So, with the help of external filters is possible to receive frequencies up to 800 MHz in under-sampling mode. Local network interface allows to use the ColibriDDC remotely and also allows to connect simultaneously several receivers to one PC for solving various signal receipt tasks. Main features: two independent receiving channels, record and playback of sampled frequencies wide up to 312 kHz, high performance ADC with sampling frequency of 125 MHz for 14 bit resolution, opportunity to receive in Nyquist zones up to UHF with external filters, wide spectrum scope up to 62.5 MHz, 24 bit audio DAC direct output, multi-pin connector for controlling external devices, external reference at 10 MHz standard, ExpertSDR2 software.

Application fields include dual channel HF/VHF receiver, panadapter for transceivers, remote reception point for contests and other applications, RF spectrum analyzer. PC requirements: Intel Core2Duo processor or higher, local network connector 100 Mbps or 1 Gbps, Windows 7~10 32 or 64 / Linux Ubuntu 64. ExpertSDR2 software with adapted interface for the receiving mode is used together with the ColibriDDC receiver. At the present moment software, supported are Windows 8 and Linux Ubuntu, works in the receiving mode and maintains two independent channels with the bands to 312 kHz. Circuit and optional kit :

ColibriDDC circuit is based on 4-layered PCB (Printed Circuit Board). All elements are installed on the the top layer via the SMC assembly. Manufacturing process is fully automatic and is carried out by the high-quality Taiwan quality manufacturers. All functional units of the receiver are placed on the PCB under RF shields.

As optional is available the BPF-kit board, that should be installed inside the receiver's case, with octave-band filters for a better IP2 dinamic range on HF from 1.7 to 30 MHz:
