Wide band receive coverage, dual-watch, Digital Group Identification (DG-ID), Automatic Mode Select (AMS), CTCSS and DCS, 1105 memory channels, split-memory feature, multi-colored LED mode-indicator, mini-USB port. I purchased from a fellow Ham. Radio was NIB condition. This is a good radio, seems well made, packed with features. The factory battery is a letdown. Not the fault of the radio, but Yaesu's product testing should have alleviated the undersized battery long before this was released to the public. There is an aftermarket 2300mAH battery available that will allow a full day's use. With the replacement battery now in place, I give this radio high marks for ease of programming, convenience of controls, great receive audio, and the auto digital detection setting. Is available at a great price point even when buying an aftermarket battery.

The downside of this HT Yaesu FT 70DR is the battery capacity of 1800mAH which tends to drain of continous using for 2 hrs. As per my usage its standby time is only 6-7hrs. Should have been a capacity of 2250 mAH enough to last a day in the field use.

Excellent workmanship, sensitivity and audio. The battery life is a disappointment, 15 minutes of QSO and it's already empty. I updated the software but nothing changed. I bought a new SBR-24L 1800mAh battery but nothing, the duration is disheartening. I do not recommend it for this reason! Yaesu do something.
