144/430 MHz Dual Bander Transceiver. Features: Up to 50 Watts on 2m, 35 Watts on 70cm. Built-in TNC for Packet AX25 protocol and APRS. Is capable of receiving Packet data on one band while receiving audio on the other band. 200 memory channels, allows each to be named using up to 8 alphanumeric and special characters. Visual Scan graphically shows the conditions of up to 181 frequency channels. CTCSS, DCS, 1750Hz tone. VFO scan, Memory scan, Group scan, Program scan, MHz scan, Call scan. The separate front panel, with easy-to-read large LCD, can be mounted in a convenient different place from the main unit. Utilizes Sky Command System 2 designed to control a Kenwood HF transceiver at a remote location (USA/Canada only). Ideated in Japan, year of introduction 2000.
