144/440 MHz FM Dual Bander Transceiver. Features: 5-50 Watts on VHF, 5-35 Watts on UHF. Dual receive, even on the same band. Cross-band and fix-band repeater operation. Separate speaker terminals for each band. 188x54 dot large LCD display. The front panel can be mounted in a convenient location, separate from the main unit. Enhanced Programmable Memory channels store virtually entire current operating environments for your quick recall. Contains 200 memory channels to program frequencies and other various data, each channel can be named using up to 8 alphanumeric and special characters. “Visual Scan graphically and simultaneously shows the conditions of up to 181 frequency channels. 0.00 to 29.95 MHz repeater offset frequency in steps of 50 kHz. CTCSS, 1750 Hz tone burst, and DCS. Multi-function backlit mic with DTMF. Ideated in Japan, year of introduction 2002.

TM-V708A legacy :

This mobile transceiver in 2007 was replaced by the Kenwood TM-V71A with output power increased to 50 Watts on UHF band. Also, the TM-V71A allows you to change now the orientation of the front panel upside-down for easier operation.
