G3 Globe Traveler description :

The G3 Globe Traveler fits between the AM / SSB continuous coverage portable radios with the interesting feature of adding the VHF band for aeronautical communications. This feature broadens the areas of use of this Grundig, since few world receivers offer such innovation. The internal double conversion circuit determines a good image frequencies rejection in the 0.15 ~ 30 MHz range while for the AM, besides the adoption of a conventional detector, a synchronous demodulator is available with the possibility of selecting the lower or upper side band. This, which is not common in low priced devices, allows you to listen to broadcasting stations by reducing the negative effects due to selective fading and interference from an adjacent channel. For the FM band the display shows the RDS (Radio Data System) informations. 700 memory locations are then available to record your favorite stations - there is also the option to self-register following a frequency scan, the memories can also be identified by a label composed of up to 8 characters.
