All mode HF transceiver with provisions for 6m, 2m and 70cm optional internal modules. 100 Watts RF power output in SSB, CW, FM and FSK modes with built-in HF antenna tuner. Also QRP version with 10 Watts power output. Triple conversion 100 kHz to 30 MHz general coverage receiver with IF passband shift, IF notch filter, CW audio peak filter, FM discriminator center tuning meter, 3-speed AGC, continuously variable NB threshold. Programmable tuning steps, synchronous tracking VFOs, iambic keyer, SWR meter, digital RF wattmeter, CAT system. Ideated in Japan, year of introduction 1986.

The clarifier use the Tuning knob and DOWN / UP keys to change the receiving frequency only. Tuning range is unlimited, but the offset display can only show up to ±9.99999 MHz.
One antenna connector per optional band module.

FT-767GX / SX tuning knob rate :

When the FAST button is not depressed, the tuning knob steps are 10 Hz and one revolution of the knob tunes 5 kHz. Press the FAST button to change 100 Hz steps, one revolution now tunes to 50 kHz.

Yaesu FT767 tuning knob rate switch

The tuning knob rate is preset by switch S3005 on the "Local Unit" for 5 kHz per revolution (slow mode) and 50 kHz/rev (fast mode). To change this to 10/100 kHz per revolution, locate S3005 as shown above, and move it to the 10kHz position.
