FM dual-bander (2m / 70cm) providing a user-friendly menu system. Features 5 Watts MOSFET power module, dual receive even on the same band (VHF+VHF or UHF+UHF), full-duplex operation, cross-band repeater (TH-79A), 80 memory channels capable of storing transmit and receive frequencies independently, DTMF keypad with memory function, DTSS, pager function, multiple scan modes, dot-matrix LCD, auto power-off, battery save function. Innovative guide function: simple operating instructions that appear in the display at the touch of a button. Ideated in Japan, year of introduction 1994.

  4. When using the UHF/UHF configuration, the frequency steps of 5 kHz and 15 kHz cannot be selected on the A band (upper display).

Note 1: Voltage is developed across the 100Ω resistor in the 3.5V line, when 2mA flows approximately 3.3V is developed. Note 2: A 10uF capacitor is not required when the other equipment has DC blocking capacitors or when a 2-terminal condenser microphone is used.
