G8 Traveler II description :
The Grundig G8 Traveler II covers the long (LW), medium (MW), short (SW) waves bands in addition to the FM. For the short waves in particular 12 segments are available, each one dedicated to a broadcasting band, therefore there is no continuous coverage since the receiver is designed to simplify the control options in listening to the international broadcasting stations. Separate memory banks allow to keep track of the preferred frequencies for each band, the memorization can be manual or with an automatic search for the greater intensity signals. For medium waves the tuning can be chosen between 9 or 10 KHz channels, for the upper bands there are two options (fast / slow) on the tuning steps. Both for the LW and the MW the apparatus integrates a ferrite antenna while for the SW and FM there is a telescopic antenna. Other features: clock, time zone selection via convenient knob on resealable front compartment, sleep timer, alarm setting between acoustic tone or radio power-on, long wave band disable for use in countries that do not have such stations, keyboard lock.

The G8 Traveler II has been marketed over time in two different versions relative the front-panel and the control interface. They change the assignment of some buttons while their position in the apparatus remains the same, there is also a different information locations on the LCD display.
